  • What is Cardio-Yo?
    • East meets West and doubles the intensity.   Begin with high energy cardio exercise and end with power yoga.   This combination of techniques will heat up your body internally & externally.

      Conditioning Phase incorporates exercises from calisthenics, plyometrics, boxing, kickboxing, and pilates and targets the upper body, core and lower body to tone muscles and burn fat.

      Yoga Phase stretches these muscles and relaxes the mind.
  • What day and time are classes held?
    • We have a normal weekly

  • How much does it cost?
    • Our rates are very reasonable and lower than most gyms in the area.
      Our prices vary according to classes, membership package, and discount eligibility.

  • Are classes suitable for beginners?
    • Absolutely.  No previous experience is necessary; our instructors are able to work with students of any skill level.

      We have students of all ages and abilities.   Look to your Instructor for guidance for you specific goals.   At the beginning of the class, the instructor should teach various techniques and allow you to practice them.

      The instructor can show you how to modify different moves so that they are comfortable for you and are executed safely and correctly.

      Pay attention to what feels right to your body.  Kick at a level that is comfortable to you.  Don't do a move that hurts, even if you are doing it correctly.  Take breaks or stop if you feel tired.  Drink plenty of water throughout the class.
  • What if I'm not flexible and cannot kick high?
    • Your flexibility and range of motion will gradually increase with the workouts, the stretching, and cool down.  The instructor might be a high kicker to demonstrate the skill and results of hard work but, this is mostly to inspire you and not to discourage you.  In the meantime there are modifications to high kicks such as knee raises or low kicks that still work the same leg and hip muscles.  Just remember that a low kick is just as effective as a high kicks.
  • What do your students wear?
    • T-shirt and shorts or sweats.  Whatever you feel lets you feel comfortable.

      Please be aware that you will be performing poses that could expose your body parts, so modest clothing is suggested.
  • Do students need special gear for this class?
    • You will need to bring a Yoga mat and a small towel to class.
  • What equipment do students work with?
    • No special equipment is needed
  • What should students expect in the 1st class?
    • Personal time with the instructor on and responsibilities during their class time.
  • What are the advantages of Cardi-Yo classes?
    • The fusion of cardio conditioning and yoga works your entire body and mind.
  • How old must the student be?
    • Our Adult groups start at age 14.
  • Am I too old?
    • NO!  We have students of all ages, abilities and goals.  We've found that a mixture of age groups in a class is beneficial to all.  Each age group can learn something from the other.

      At Cook's Impact, our class atmosphere is friendly and open, which allows people of all ages to work at their own pace and ability.  We will try to push you to your limits, not anyone else's limit.

      Look to your Instructor for guidance for your specific goals.   Active older adults looking for camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule will love Zumba.   It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.
  • How do I get the most out of the class?
    • Pay attention, Participate, Practice, and above all, have Patience with yourself!  
  • How do I get started?
    • We offer discounts for Families, Military, Firefighters, and Law Enforcement officers.

      Getting started is simple—just check out the , find the class(es) you're interested in, and drop by, call or complete the form at the bottom of this page to make an appointment for a FREE class of your choice.

      When you come in, we'll show you around and answer whatever questions you have.   Once you're ready to give it a try, you'll just need to fill out our waiver, and then you can jump right in.

      All you need are workout clothes, though you'll most certainly want a bottle of water, to stay hydrated.

      Once you've experienced your first class, you'll have a great idea of what you can get from Cook's Impact Academy.
